These are some of the first chairs we've ever crafted in metal. Made from an assymetrical design, these chairs are hand-crafted from a Red-Hook-based metal manufacturer that works on large-scale metal projects. Made by hand and with a plasma cutting machine in Red Hook Brooklyn.

REDU started making desks while kids were being homeschooled in mid-2020 while we found an opportune moment to help provide a sustainable option for people suddenly having to work from home.

ambers_birthday_sleeper

One evening, while Amber was having a birthday party, her team got together and designed this sleeper sofa from reclaimed wood, plywood, and deadstock scraps. The end result is Amber's favorite couch designed during her birthday. This piece is an ode to the level of customization and creativity that the REDU team draws upon for all their clients.

This vintage table was rescued from a gallery in Connecticut that was going out of business. The original piece was hand-crafted in Bali by local artisans. Our transformation process includes a restoration and resculpting of the the wood to give the piece a more organic feel. We finished with piece by torching the exterior wood providing an ebony finish to seal the wood. This piece was hand-crafted by our Lead Builder, Kaya

We saw our new neighbors in Red Hook, Ample Hills Creamery, discarding barrels of their coconut cream, so naturally we rescued these barrels and made the most comfortable couch in the world. Made from metal scraps and deadstock textiles, and inspired by the story of the eagle and the condor.
